NJHCSA Annual Seminar
Our Annual Spring Seminar will be held at the
Tropicana Hotel & Casino on Sunday, April 22 and Monday, April 23, 2012.
Vendor exhibit and cocktail hour will be Sunday night. Vivian Watson will be our opening speaker. She is an inspiring
motivational speaker. Her presentation title is: "Personal and Professional Growth- Risk the Journey”. She will
make you laugh and have you in tears.
Save these
dates, Sunday, April 22 and Monday, April 23, 2012. This seminar is approved by
IAHCSMM and CBSPD for 5.5 contact hours per day for total of 11 contact hours
if you attend both days.
Nominations for officers
Candidates
are needed for the position of Treasurer and President.
As
our profession grows, there is a need for more people to get involved with the
NJHCSA; especially as an officer. Involvement is participating in activities outside of the
work place and benefiting from that experience. It rounds out an individual's
experience by promoting new opportunities and the development of new skills.
People get involved in many ways and for a variety of reasons. Some of the most
common reasons individuals get involved are: growth, recognition,
personal achievement and participation enjoyment.
I can personally say that when I was
approached by Ed Orlik, former NJHCSA President, to run for office, I was
nervous. Now after being an officer of the NJHCSA for the last 11 years I can
say it has been self-rewarding as well as enhancing my professional and
personal growth. It has inspired me to have the Passion for our profession.
